Fish or cut bait. Shape up, or ship out. Put up or shut up. Just publish the damn thing, norm.

The important thing is not what the author, or any artist, had in mind to begin with but at what point he decided to stop.

Hello World

I've been fiddling with this site for a while now. I have my reasons, and it's been working for a few weeks, but I've been a little reluctant to actually announce it.

Partly, I think I've been hesitant because I'm not sure I have anything to say. What if you gave a party and nobody came? The diametrically opposing fear is that everyone will come and the site will simply self-destruct under the pressure. (This server sits in my house, behind a cable modem; I have no real idea how much bandwidth there is to spare, but I'm pretty sure /. would drive this site right into the ground.)

With respect to the former fear, I think the articles about DocBook[1][2] might actually have value. And for the latter, well, there's only one way to find out, right?

[stage direction: norm screws up his courage, grimaces, overcomes trepidation, and...pushes the button!]
