<title>Hello World</title>

<para xml:id="p2">I've been fiddling with this site for a while now. I have
<link xlink:href="../../04/28/why">my reasons</link>, and it's been working for a
few weeks, but I've been a little reluctant to actually announce it.</para>

<para xml:id="p3">Partly, I think I've been hesitant because I'm not sure I have
anything to say. What if you gave a party and nobody came? The
diametrically opposing fear is that everyone will come and the site
will simply self-destruct under the pressure. (This server sits in my
house, behind a cable modem; I have no real idea how much bandwidth
there is to spare, but I'm pretty sure <literal>/.</literal> would
drive this site right into the ground.)</para>

<para xml:id="p4">With respect to the former fear, I think the articles about
DocBook<superscript>[<link xlink:href="../21/docbook">1</link>][<link xlink:href="moredocbook">2</link>]</superscript> might actually have value. And for the latter, well,
there's only one way to find out, right?</para>
