<para xml:id="p1">After getting <link xlink:href="../05/tel">point-and-click
dialing</link> to work, it became obvious that I needed it to work
from <application>emacs</application>. Everything should work from
emacs, right?</para>

<para xml:id="p2">Well, beyond the fact that everything should is the fact that I
get email messages with phone numbers for teleconferences in them and
they’re just as annoying to transcribe as any others.</para>
