Thank you for your pictures. they put me in the right mode.

The right mode for what? you ask.

Every summer I fly to London and then I take the bus to Stockholm (I stay in Sweden my home country a couple of months every year) and stop in one place to make the trip enjoyable. Last to summers I stopped in Amsterdam but was looking for another city for this year. I was in Brussels once and found the Golden Square(or something like that) gorgeous but the city boring. So I looked at Antwerp and saw your pictures and that is where I shall stay one or two days on my 36 hours trip to Sthlm.
I am a painter and I love to sit and watch landscapes.

I have a tip for you, i think.
i actually am landing in Glasgow on June 9th with Icelandair and returning from London in October Icelandair has the only 3+month ticket that is extremely cheap.

Anyway I shall meet my daughter in Dublin for the 100th anniversity of Ulysseus and go on James Joyce walks there on June 16. So I have a few days in between. I looked for the ferry on the net to Belfast
and that is when I found the citylink. I shall (hopefully i shall stay well) go from Glasgow on regular bus one evening north along the east coast in Scotland and then across to Inverness and then the next day I can go back and all the way to Dublin in one go if I choose. I do so look forward to travel TWICE over the scottish highlands.

Thank you for your pictures

I'm a native from Antwerp /Belgium and live in the USA now.
When you go the Belgium , you must visit Antwerp. There is so much to do there . Excellent museums, my brother is an very well know artist .You must go to the "Rubenshouse", and museum of modern arts.
Ofcourse you must try our Belgian waffles, the real kind, hahaha.Go to Desiree De Lille in de Schrijnwerkersstraat and enjoy our crepes and wafels, and ofcourse Lackmans!!! hmm
If you still have time, go visit the diamants, there new location is now next door the Zoo, everyone knows were that is in Antwerp. Also ,our Zoo is one of the biggest once in the world.
Good food, Good ambiance,Great Opera, and a very good Balletcompany ( Ballet Of Flanders).
Have fun and enjoy.
Carine :)

Help, I just found out that we will be moving to Belgium this August. We are free to choose between Antwerp and Brussels. Any suggestions? We have a 9 year-old and a 6 year-old, which city is more "kid friendly"?
