Hey! Suddenly I am ad-worthy.

Back in February, I pouted a little bit about the fact that Google turned me down for their AdSense program.

A couple of weeks ago, I got a follow-up mail saying they’d decided to accept me after all. Ain’t that special?

Anyway, I’ve started to play with it a little. For the moment, I’m being selective. I figured that the perl bug essay and the “best of” essay might provide useful advertisements.

The ads replace the “Recent topics” headings on the right. I’ve actually come to doubt the utility of putting the recent topics on every page anyway.

Anyone think they really suck over there? Should I turn them on more globally?

I'd read http://www.russellbeattie.com/notebook/1004557.html before you make a final decision about AdSense.
