Münster Statuary

Münster Cathedral is decorated with fantastic faces and creatures.

Cathedral Creatures

There are creatures of various sorts around the cathedral, but it was the elephants that particularly caught my eye.

The elephants and…whatever this is.

There are lots of gargoyles on the spires. I recognized people, bats, and bulls among them.

I wonder if it's someone the sculptor didn't like?

In addition to the gargoyles, the faces of people and things stare out of almost every corner of the spire.
