In the spirit of blog-announced geek dinners, I propose to dine with DocBook geeks at XML 2004. Specifically, I propose doing so on Wednesday evening, 17 Nov 2004, at 7:30pm.

My doctor told me to stop having intimate dinners for four unless there were three other people.

In the spirit of blog-announced geek dinners, I propose to dine with DocBook geeks at XML 2004. That’s you, dear readers, or at least those of you who will be in the vacinity of the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel and in possession of both your appetites and at least a passing interest in DocBook.

I’ll plan to be down in the hotel lobby around 7:00pm EST on Wednesday, 17 Nov 2004. Maybe I’ll have figured out by then where we should go, maybe I won’t. Suggestions welcome. We’ll stroll off to a location to be determined at 7:30pm.

If you look at the program, you’ll see that there are events every evening (conference or vendor receptions, town halls, etc.). There’s nothing to be done about that. If you’re not free for dinner, I’ll be wandering around all week, gravitating towards the bar most evenings.

If you’re interested in dinner on Wednesday evening, drop me a note or add a comment here.

Hi Norm! I'll be there. I'm very excited to attend the conference this year. Lots of good DocBook exposure!

Hi Norm!

Count me in, too. (Barring some unforeseen commitment.) I'll be staying at the Marriott & so the bar will also serve as my default location.

Be seeing you;-)

Thanks for the opportunity. I'll put this in the good old Palm and plan on being there.

Great idea -- sign me up! (Uh, do I still count as a DocBook geek?...)
