When is a day not 24 hours? After a transition to or from daylight savings time.

The Sonnet a Day page and its feed got mangled by the transition from daylight savings time back to standard time.

The number of the sonnet to display is calculated by determining how many days have elapsed since the project began. To calculate the number of days, I use the difference in local time between today and the first day. But here on the east coast, we transitioned from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time on 31 Oct 2004 and that seems to have perturbed my calculations a bit. Serves me right for not using UTC.

All fixed now, but systems that have cached the bogus RSS entries may still be a little bit confused. Sorry about that.
