Oh, the places I've been! (2004)
What do AUS, BDL, BOS, BRU, BWI, DCA, DFW, JFK, LAS, LHR, MIA, NCE, NRT, ORD, PHL, PIT, RDU, SEA, SFO, SJC, SJU, STL, STT, TPA, YOW, YUL, YVR, and ZRH have in common? Been there, done that.
All we have to believe with is our senses, the tools we use to perceive the world: our sight, our touch, our memory. If they lie to us, then nothing can be trusted. And even if we do not believe, then still we cannot travel in any other way than the road our senses show us; and we must walk that road to the end. (American Gods)
I'm home for the rest of the year. No more travel, not even down to New York for the holidays.
It occurred to me over lunch that I could hack my little trip-mapping script to summarize my travels, so here it is, the places I've been in 2004:

How far is that? 8,458 miles short of Platinum. C'est la vie. Some folks are willing to fly to London for lunch to fix a problem like that, but not me, especially not when I'd have to fly to Tokyo to fix it.
As I've just spent all my accumulated frequent flyer miles buying tickets for a vacation, it looks like I'll be flying to Australia in coach. But that'll put me 19,544 miles closer to making Platinum in 2005!
