for what I (and we all!) sincerely hope will be the last time.</para>

<para xml:id="p4">I did my usual bit-wrangling to get them into shape for
publication. The editors have gotten very good at delivering clean
drafts and I thank them all for their hard work. Most of what I do
these days is coordinate with the chairs to get the status sections
right and make sure all the cross references, bibliographies, and
other bits are synchronized.</para>

<para xml:id="p5">I fear we put a little extra stress on the W3C team
this time around. One draft got substantially revised right at the
last minute and tossed into the 4 April publication cycle somewhat
unexpectedly. Another editor went on vacation the day after delivery.
It wasn't as smooth as it could have been, and I thank the
team for their patience.</para>
