There are lots of flowers in bloom on St. Thomas. That's always a true statement. There are flowers in the Virgin Islands that bloom all year long: a strange concept to us New Englander's. I set out one afternoon with a mind to photograph all of the different kinds of flowers that I could find within a short walk of the beach. I burned through two batteries in my camera and three compact flash cards before I decided I was just too damn hot and tired to continue. And that's just on one day in May!
