This is the seventh test release of DocBook V5.0.
This release includes a few small improvements.

Fixed RFE 1520074: defined separate patterns for all the effectivity attributes to make customization easier.

Attempted to address RFE 1512505: added an audience effectivity attribute.

Renamed audience, origin, and level attributes on <simplemsgentry> to msgaud, msgorig, and msglevel, respectively. This is a better parallel with the descendent elements of <msgentry> and avoids a conflict with the newly introduced audience effectivity attribute.

Added startinglinenumber attribute to <orderedlist>.

Fixed bug where one of fileref or entityref was required on <imagedata> even when the content was inline MathML or SVG.
I think it's possible that the next release will be “Candidate Release 1”. If you haven't tested V5.0 on your documents yet, please do!
