I've now cut and routered all the fixed pieces: the top, the bottom, both sides, three vertical dividers, and four fixed shelves. (I have yet to cut all the adjustable shelves.) I've also chiseled square the routered slots for the shelf clips. And I've sanded the whole collection of boards once (and I have the tinnitus, ear protection not withstanding, and numb hands to prove it). After I've sanded them again, I'll start trying to assemble the bookcase.
