<para xml:id="p1">The final assembly is now complete. The case is
assembled, mostly with screws though there are a couple of glued
joints on the end that will be most visible. The back, ¼” oak plywood,
is nailed in place. I still need to install the tracks for the
adjustable shelves.</para>

<para xml:id="p2">The joints were very, very tight which is one of the reasons
that assembly before staining seemed to make sense. For the same
reason, I'm going to install the tracks before we stain, though that'll
mean taking extra care when we are staining and finishing.</para>

<para xml:id="p3">Todo: install the tracks, cut and sand the adjustable shelves,
stain and finish the bookcase and the shelves, perform the final installation,
and move books out of boxes in the back bathroom and closet.</para>
