I can think of few people whose entry into the blogging community I would consider more exciting.

In the very early years of the twenty-first century, when a friend started a blog, the traditional was to write a post saying a public “hello”. This was both friendly and an opportunity to share a little linking karma.

Then somewhere around '04, the floodgates opened and so many started blogging so frequently that it became impractical to keep up. The tradition lapsed.

But I'm not letting this opportunity pass. James Clark has taken up blogging and with a bang too!

Welcome back, James!
