A peek at some local blossoms.

The past week has been wet and bitterly cold here in New England. If it had been a few degrees colder, I think we'd be up to our hips in snow. The basement is as badly flooded as I've ever seen it.

With that in mind, you'll understand why Tim's Flower of the Day posts have sparked the occasional twinge of jealousy.

A few weeks ago I was out an about (in Somerville) and taking pictures of flowers willing to brave the cold as well.
