Edfu.

Today we saw the Temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus.

After Edfu, the plan was to cruise to Kom Ombo.

Delays put us into Kom Ombo too late to see the temple tonight, so we'll catch it on the way back. On to Aswan.

It is not a woodpecker. According to http://ro.wiktionary.org/wiki/pup%C4%83z%C4%83, its Latin name is Upupa epops. Searching by this name, one can find http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoopoe.
