<para xml:id="p1">As I struggled through my
<link xlink:href="hardwareWoes">laptop woes</link> today, The W3C
<link xlink:href="http://www.w3.org/News/2008#item200">announced the
results</link> of our
successful transition to
<link xlink:href="http://www.w3.org/2005/10/Process-20051014/tr.html#cfi">Candidate
Recommendation</link> and published the CR draft of
<citetitle xlink:href="http://www.w3.org/TR/2008/CR-xproc-20081126/">XProc:
An XML Pipeline Language</citetitle>.</para>

<para xml:id="p2">My heartiest congratulations and heartfelt thanks go out to the
members of the Working Group, reviewers, and early implementors that
have helped us come this far.</para>

<para xml:id="p3">With several implementations
of
<wikipedia page="XML_pipeline">XProc</wikipedia>
already underway (that I know of),
I'm confident that we'll get out of CR in a timely fashion.</para>
