Baconsthorpe Castle, more accurately described as a fortified manor house, is a short drive from my folks place in Erpingham.

It is an honour to mention that my wife, my children and grandchildren are descended from such a noble family. Perhaps someday we will get to visit this grand, historic place. Happy Christmas and enjoy your holidays. God bless you.

I have visited the castle three times in the past 45 years. The last time was four years ago. My ancestors were the Heydons who built the castle. I would be interested in hearing from any other Heydon descendants. Especially those in the Holt area. p>

I am also a descendent from these Heydons ending up in Maryland and then to Kentucky. I am currently doing a paper in my Humanities class on family lineage. I am open to getting any information that anyone has on this line. Thanks I have been given some information already, if anyone on here is a descent from the Heydon/Hayden line to Kentucky, I do have some info I can pass on.
