Overheard at a Working Group Meeting
We were funnier this time. Or exhaustion is making us punchy. Or both.
Everything has been said before, but since nobody every listens we have to keep going back and beginning all over again.
The XSL and XML Query Working Groups met for four days this week.

On Syntax
We don't need no stinking syntax.
On Clarity
Person X struggles to understand some line of argument.
Person Y (interrupts) “No, wait, I think I can clarify things. The in-scope schema definitions weren’t anaphoric to that part of the argument.”
Person Z “Uhm. That didn’t clarify anything for me.”
Person Y “Oh, no, I didn’t mean I could clarify it for you, I just wanted Person Y to understand.”
On Compromise
With the number of things I've had to give up, I can't live with the status quo. It's payback time.
