On the Walls of Basel
Glued on, painted on, or spray painted on, there’s lots to see on the walls of Basel.
Art happens--no hovel is safe from it, no prince may depend upon it, and vastest intelligence cannot bring it about.
This butterfly reminded me of my previous essay about graffiti in Antwerp.

Looking around, I found some other interesting graffiti.

I also found several really interesting murals. This one, with the painted scaffolding, is tucked away on a side street not far from the cathedral.

There is a mural on the side of the Rathaus as well.

And an interesting sculpture on the wall near the “Tinguely fountain”.

I’m not sure what these gentlemen are up to:

But they’re doing it on the walls of Basel.
