XLink 1.1

Volume 8, Issue 66; 28 Apr 2005; last modified 08 Oct 2010

The First Working Draft of XLink 1.1 has been published.

Back in January I outlined the changes that the XML Core Working Group was considering for an XLink 1.1.

I'm happy to say that our First Working Draft of that work has been published. I'm hoping our next draft will be a Last Call, we're really making very small changes. If you're curious about just how the small, I posted a lightly edited “diff” that highlights the changes.

Please look it over and send us your comments.

I mailed some thoughts in February but no-one responded. I hope someone can take a look at that before the next draft. Especially the DTD examples clutter the document and make the examples hard to read imo.

Thanks, Anne. Unbeknownst to me, I apparently fell off the subscription list for www-xml-linking-comments so I never saw your message. I'll make sure it gets discussed next time we talk about XLink.

I'll reply with my own thoughts as soon as my subscription is confirmed.
