Great big long stack traces from easy_install do not constitute an easy installation. I'm just saying. #python—@ndw

By the same token, saying you can install from sources w/o using easy_install when the sources use easy_install is a bit circular. Or a lie.—@ndw

Planning to buy a Linux server. Anyone care to share recommendations or experiences?—@michaelhkay

ImageMagick's "convert" is the best thing I've found for SVG to PNG conversion at arbitrary resolution, but it's typography sucks rocks.—@ndw
@ndw Unless it's changed since I last looked at it (don't, btw) the SVG code in ImageMagick does not account for CSS. Check croco and cairo.—@doriantaylor
@doriantaylor Thanks. Cairo looks interesting. I wonder if there's a straight-forward SVG to raster file program built on Cairo...—@ndw
@ndw there are bindings to Cairo in various languages (perl, python, ruby etc.)—@doriantaylor
@doriantaylor Ok. I'll put cooking up an SVG to raster converter with it on my todo list. :-/—@ndw
