And the usual open, tolerant, and mature reaction from WHATWG to the Assoc of American Publishers feedback http://t.co/qrGdhpR—@shelleypowers
@shelleypowers I'm afraid to look.—@ndw
@ndw It was more annoying than anything. Biggest org of publishers and all they can do is complain about feedback in a word document.—@shelleypowers
@shelleypowers The Association of American Publishers should stop messing around and make the Web better!—@kendall
@kendall Yeah, shame on them for attempting to provide feedback in the only way the HTML WG allows--and then for using Word. Well, tsk.—@shelleypowers
@shelleypowers Anyone who even owns Word hates the Web and is hurting the Web because...sniff...there are no URLs in Word.—@kendall
@kendall And it's Microsoft, don't forget. So what if there's OpenOffice and LibreOffice and converters...it doesn't matter!—@shelleypowers

I've been using Ubuntu as my OS exclusively since Jan. 2007 and I have to say using 11.04 is almost intolerable. 11.10 doesn't look better.—@RussB
@RussB Yes. It's a real mess.—@ndw
@ndw @RussB Not sure I understand the feeling. Because it's not all 100% open source?—@ebruchez
@ebruchez @ndw No, it's not about being open. It's about being usable. Android is semi-open I just think it's clunky.—@RussB
@ebruchez @RussB Just because I can fix the disaster of a UI doesn’t mean I necessarily wanted to take that project on.—@ndw
@ndw Sure was not suggesting that, just trying to understand where the problem was.—@ebruchez
@ebruchez And FYI, I was referring to Ubuntu, I think android is just fine.—@ndw
